- “PAC” stands for Political Action Committee. PACs are organizations created to support or defeat elected officials or legislation. PACs must report directly to the Federal Election Commission.
- Is ImmigrationPAC a specific type of PAC?
- ImmigrationPAC is a non-connected political action committee. It is not affiliated with any political party.
- Why give to you instead of directly to the candidate?
- A PAC can give at twice the amount of an individual and has greater influence on the candidate (more money). There is also a symbolic statement being made, saying the pro-immigrant community as a whole will financially support those who support us.
- Do you give to local and state candidates?
- No, we are only registered to give to candidates for federal office.
- Will you give college scholarships; do voter registration, etc…?
- No, there are numerous excellent organizations doing amazing work across the country on immigration reform who serve these needs. We are strictly a fundraising organization designed to financially support candidates.
